You may have seen fiber optic lighting that can do this as well but the energy savings from LED far outweighs anything else.

Many traditional light bulbs contain harmful chemicals that will kill the environment when they escape the glass bulb. LED pool lights on the other hand don’t contain these gasses and powders. So if one should break, you won’t have to worry about the unseen dangers of the bulbs themselves. But don’t worry because an LED pool light is very hard to break in the first place.

If you already have a great lighting system setup for your pool, it is possible to add special LED lights that can fit in to the system. However, if possible, you should try to get the whole LED pool light system right from the start. Just to compare some of the energy savings, a 50w LED can produce the same amount of light that a 250w-300w light can. But not only that, it uses a lot less energy. So if you are looking for the perfect system for your pool, go for the LED pool lights.
